Answer:

"The Sower" is a translation of Victor Hugo's poem, Saison des Semailles: Le Soir. Who was a celebrated French poet and novelist. It is translated by Toru Dutt. The title itself is symbolic, representing the figure of a Sower a man who scatters seeds on the land, The poet captures the timeless image of a solitary farmer, sowing seeds optimistic of having a good harvest every time he tosses grain under the fading light of day, portraying him as a beacon of resilience and hope as he has seen many bad harvests in his life.

The central theme of the poem highlights the unwavering determination of the Sower, who, despite the encroaching darkness, continues his labor with a steadfast spirit. The poem celebrates the dignity of labor and the enduring hope that the Sower places in the seeds he plants, trusting in the unseen future.
