Answer:

"Have You Earned Your Tomorrow" is an optimistic poem by Edgar Albert Guest, who is known as ‘people’s poet’ for his simple style and optimistic tone of writing. The poem is interrogative and the title urges the reader to evaluate whether they have done anything to improve the life of another human being or not.

The central theme of the poem revolves around self-reflection and moral responsibility. It emphasizes kindness, empathy, and the impact of one’s actions on others. The idea of earning tomorrow symbolizes a future that is shaped by good deeds of today

Poetic devices like Alliteration, Metaphor, Repetition and interrogation are used in the poem. The poet uses rhetorical questions as a key device to provoke thought and self-examination. The rhyme scheme of the poem is aabb.

The message in the poem is that we must plan our future carefully as what goes around comes around, hence we must make our life meaningful through small but significant acts of kindness towards other to built a better future for us. The poem is universal and its message is applicable to all readers, regardless of age or background.

I like this poem as it is an inspiring poem that reminds us to be kind and compassionate towards other and inculcates the value of future building not in terms of money instead making difference in other’s lives.

Is a poem that captures the isolation and alienation of a father returning from work to his family. The theme of the poem revolves around alienation, loneliness, and the disconnection between generations. It portrays the monotonous life of the father, his isolation in a fast-paced world, and the emotional distance between him and his family with vivid visuals. Dilip Chitre employs free verse .
