Answer:

Sarojini Naidu, the Nightingale of India, masterfully weaves together the delicate threads of life and art in her short poem "Indian Weavers." The title itself is a nod to the ancient and revered craft of weaving in India.

At its heart, the poem explores the theme of life's journey through its different stages morning, noon, and night each represented by a distinct garment woven by the Indian weavers. The blue garments of morning symbolize the birth and innocence of a new day, the bright and vibrant robes of noon represent the joy and vitality of youth, while the white funeral shrouds of night signify the finality and solemnity of death.

Naidu's poetic style is both lyrical and evocative, rich with vivid imagery and deep symbolism. Her use of repetition in the lines "Weavers, weaving at break of day," and so, creates a rhythmic cadence that mirrors the repetitive and rhythmic nature of weaving itself and also reinforces the cyclical nature of life.

The language of the poem is simple yet profound and has a conversational tone. where weavers and their creations are metaphors for the stages of life, while the colours of the woven garments symbolize the changing emotions and experiences, we encounter along with other poetic devices such as Simile, Alliteration, Interrogation. The rhyming scheme is ‘aabb’

The message of "Indian Weavers" is both universal and timeless. It reflects the values of appreciating the beauty and significance of each phase of life. The poem subtly conveys that every stage, from birth to death, has its own beauty and purpose.

In my opinion, "Indian Weavers" is a poignant and beautifully crafted poem that resonates deeply. Its simplicity belies a profound understanding of life’s transient nature. The poem itself is a fabric intertwined perfectly.
